Our Starting Medium: Wood
We begin our journey with wood. We source seasoned Indian teak and fine hardwoods that have air-dried naturally over seasons to ensure structural stability.
In the workshop, each piece is hand-planed to reveal the authentic grain, fitted with solid brass hinges and hardware, and finished with natural botanical oils and beeswax.
Wood is our starting medium, not our entire identity. Over time, Saino House will explore selected expressions of Indian craft and culture through other materials and makers.
